Early Childhood Development centres in South Africa play a critical role in preparing young children for formal education. These centres, often referred to as creches or preschools, provide a structured environment where children can develop essential cognitive, emotional, and social skills. The Bishopstowe ECD currently provides this environment to children in Grades RR and RRR. Please contact our friendly staff to learn more.
We do our best to ensure that our facilities are neatly kept and well maintained. We receive visits from various schools in Pietermaritzburg with whom we have a special relationship. The children enjoy a number of excursions throughout the year.
The Bishopstowe ECD Centre strives to provide the very best pre-school education to our neighboring areas. We have transport available to some of the areas located close to us to ensure the children get to school safely and timeously. As of May 2025 we are incredibly thankful to have finished building a new classroom which will help us to provide quality education to more learners. A huge thank you to TWK and Sunshine Seedlings for sponsoring the new classroom as well as NCT for the furniture!
